The Mentorship Series
The BMES Mentorship Series is designed to help students explore career opportunities, develop professional skills, and connect with experienced upperclassmen who can offer guidance and insight. Whether you're interested in research, pre-med, industry, graduate school, entrepreneurship, or are still exploring your options, this program provides opportunities to learn from others and navigate your academic and professional journey with confidence.
Mentorship Network
Our mentor network connects students with BMES Executive Board members and other upperclassmen who are excited to share their experiences, advice, and insights. Through our mentor directory, students can explore mentors' backgrounds, areas of interest, and experiences to find guidance that aligns with their personal and professional goals. Monthly Mentoring Nights
Throughout the academic year, BMES will host monthly mentoring events open to all members. Topics will include resume and LinkedIn reviews, getting involved in research, internship recruiting, course planning, graduate and medical school applications, interview preparation, and career exploration.
Each event will feature mentors with relevant experience rotating between small-group discussions, giving students the opportunity to ask questions, gain practical advice, and hear a variety of perspectives in a welcoming, collaborative environment.
Mentor Office Hours & Coffee Chats
Mentorship doesn't have to end when an event does! Students will also have opportunities to connect with mentors through optional coffee chats, office hours after BMES meetings, email, and LinkedIn. These informal conversations provide a space to ask follow-up questions, discuss individual goals, and build meaningful connections within the BMES community.
